Skating I enjoy figure skating, including freestyle and ice dance.

A very short Introduction to Figure Skate Blades is available. Make sure to also download the video clips [clip1 (2.87MB)] [clip2 (733KB)] for the presentation.

I recently started rollerblading outdoors. After I have mastered how to wear elbow pads, I will attempt to go here.

Dancing I started ballroom dancing in 1998, when I took a class in East Coast Swing at Caltech. I've been dancing ever since! I've taken classes in nearly all dances that are danced in social ballroom (most several times at the same level, just for good measure :). In no particular order:
  • International Gold Cha-Cha
  • International Gold Rumba
  • International Silver Samba
  • International Bronze Paso Doble
  • International Gold Jive
  • International Silver Waltz
  • International Silver Tango
  • International Silver Foxtrot
  • International Silver Quickstep
  • International Bronze Viennese Waltz
  • American Bronze Foxtrot
  • American Bronze Waltz
  • American Bronze Tango
  • American Bronze Rumba
  • American Bronze Cha-Cha
  • American Bronze East Coast Swing
  • Intermediate East Coast Swing
  • Intermediate Lindy Hop
  • Beginner West Coast Swing
  • Beginner Hustle
  • Intermediate Salsa
  • Advanced Argentine Tango
  • Blues

I performed with the UCBD Argentine Tango Formation Team at the annual UCBD Fall Ball in October 2000.

I started taking ballet classes in 2003 in order to improve my Argentine Tango and figure skating technique.

I used to perform choreographed traditional Chinese dances with the Chinese Language School of Baltimore.

Music I play the violin and piano occasionally (I used to play a lot more often). I also used to play the viola.
Juggling Actually, I don't know how to juggle. But I hang out in juggling clubs with people who do know how to juggle and practice Chinese yo-yo instead.
